Transformations: Request to keep Basic SQL Transformation

Request to please keep basic SQL transformations.

  1. Not everyone is a dbt customer
  2. No desire add complexity/dependencies for no value gain. This requires both dbt and git to be setup correctly and have no issues at any give time. Will greatly increase setup time and issue resolution time when there are any.
  3. Why the push to only have dbt connections? Is there some sort of partnership.
  4. Other options exist such as scheduled job/task/stored procedure that don't require dbt & git

    I don't know why you would deprecate this feature. It's so simple and easy to use. We've tried to get dbt up and running... it's a total pain in the rear. It makes doing transformations 10x more cumbersome. We are scrambling to figure out an alternative. It would be good to know at least why FiveTran would sunset this awesome feature. Is it too dev resource heavy to maintain? Or is it partnership agreement related? Customers are going to suffer because of this.
