Connector Improvement: Support for different Snowflake data types
CompletedWhile connecting to a snowflake source with fivetran, we observed that lots of data types are not compatible in fivetran. Please find the spread sheet link attached for the list of supported (green) and not supported(red) snowflakes data types in fivetran.
Earlier raised a support ticket and as a guidance of which raising this feature request.
Thank you,

Hi Jana,
Thank you for your question! My name is Coral and I am the product manager for the Snowflake connector.
We have released support for the following data types as regular columns with the Snowflake connector. However, these data types are not supported as primary key columns.VARIANT OBJECT ARRAY GEOGRAPHY GEOMETRY A comprehensive view of the type transformation and mapping is available here! We have also enabled PK-less support for Snowflake tables.
I hope that helps!

Hi Team,
Re-analysed the data types behaviour and found that most of the data types are working now. I suspect earlier, the issue was faced because while creating the tables i had those data types fields as primary key.
Do fivetran support table with integer or string as the primary key for snowflake. And primary key is mandatory for snowflake integration. Kindly confirm the same.
And the following data types are still not supported. Please find the list below
VARIANT OBJECT ARRAY GEOGRAPHY GEOMETRY Kindly let us know whether is it expected, or fivetran is having future plans to have support for the same.
