Hi Max,
Thank you so much for confirming the concept value - It on the roadmap although does not have a date yet.
Every up-vote on the request helps build the case though!
I'd be interested if you'd be interested in a 'Magic Folder' mode for our Email connector?
Best Regards,Alison

I think that works too. Attachments get sent to a magic folder. But does this mean I need to create a separate Destination?
Currently I'm using Power Automate to watch my Gmail, and when a file comes in, it will then take the attachment and upload the excel file to gdrive. Then I have a python script on my server that will read the gdrive and then convert the excel file to CSV and save it into a magic folder. Fivetran then takes the file and loads it into Databricks.
I had tried to change my source to send me data in csv, but they can't. If they could, then I would be able to save the file direct to Delta Lake.

Hi Max,
Thank you so much for sharing more details about your work flow.
Can I suggest you take a look at our Google Drive connector. It now works in Merge mode - although does not yet accept XLS in that mode. Adding this feature is on our roadmap.
It sounds like the core feature you need is for Excel support in one of our 'Merging mode' connectors - Email or Google Drive would both work for you.Thank you

I'd like to load xls/xlsx file I receive via email attachment into BigQuery. We currently upload xlsx attached to an email to Google Drive using Zapier, and then load that xlsx file to BigQuery using Fivetran, but if Fivetran supports loading xls/xlsx from Email connector, it would be very simple and robust!
