Connector Improvement: Add macros to Zendesk
AnsweredHello,
We are currently using the Zendesk API ourselves and are thinking about switching to Fivetran.
We saw that there is no table for Macros that includes all these columns.
This is something that we're using and would like to have through the Fivetran connector.

Hi Haris,
Thanks for the request. We left Macros out of our ERD because we believed it was not an analytically valuable endpoint/table. It would seem to me that these might not change very often and are preferred to be reviewed within the Zendesk environment. That said, we'd like to support your use case and help you reach success with our Zendesk connector. Can you share a bit more about how Macros data in your destination is useful to your team? -
Hi Ray, Here is the detail provided by Roderick Dunn on how the Macros will be used:
In terms of how Macros data will be useful to us - our Client Success (CS) team uses Zendesk macros extensively (they are essentially pre-written messages). They mainly want to track creations/updates of macros, as well as their 'active' status. This will help the team determine how useful the feature is for CS agents, and therefore whether to investigate other tools.
