Connector Improvement: Connector Improvement[Microsoft Advertising]: Offer reduced Rollback Sync timeframe

When new accounts are added to the connector, a resync is triggered. This may be a free/paid resync depending on the Fivetran account type. Data that is synced after a free resync within a rollback sync is treated as paid MAR and can result in a MAR spike for the connector.

It would be great if there was an option for a smaller rollback sync window for the Bingads connector to minimize this occurrence.

    Hi Mark and Paul,

    Thanks for submitting this request. It seems like two separate concepts are being discussed here, though: one is backfilling historical data when a new account is added, and the other is the rollback sync.

    I don't see a reason to change the behaviour of fetching historical data when a new account is added. That is necessary to ensure we capture the metadata for the new account. 

    Regarding the rollback sync, I think allowing a smaller rollback sync window makes sense.Microsoft Ads allows conversion windows as small as 1 minute: 

    Therefore, I agree that our connector should support smaller windows (the current minimum is 35 days). I'll add this to our team's backlog and keep you posted on updates here.

    We should like this too, as we don't expect any historical data to change beyond 24hours after harvesting it. This would be really helpful to us.
