Destination Improvement: Add Support for Unity Catalog, by Databricks

At present, tables we land into Databricks' hive_metastore through a SQL Warehouse (formerly known as SQL Endpoint).

Request: we'd like to be able to land tables into Unity Catalog directly. Unity Catalog is currently in Public Preview.

    Thanks for writing in. We have launched support for Databricks Unity Catalog!

    Customers using Databricks as a destination can now land tables directly into Unity Catalog! Unity Catalog is a new feature from Databricks that enables better management and governance of data objects. Users can specify a catalog name, a schema name, and a table name, taking advantage of the 3-part naming convention.

    Our documentation has also been updated to help customers upgrade existing tables and schemas to Unity Catalog:

    Unity Catalog is now generally available on Azure Databricks since August 25, 2022

    HVR does not support Unity yet.
