Connector Improvement: Shopify - Add 'landing_site' field to Order table
CompletedIn the Shopify API, the Order object contains a field 'landing_site' that contains the raw landing page url like 'http://www.example.com?source=abc'
Fivetran currently only imports 'landing_site_base_url' which is a parsed version of the 'landing_url' field that only contains the base url like 'http://www.example.com'. It misses the query parameters associated with the landing page like '?source=abc'
Can fivetran add this field to the Order table?
As a marketer this is important data for determining the last touch attribution for our marketing channels

Hi Michael,
Sorry for the delayed response. Does the 'landing_site_ref' field in the ORDER table contain the data you're looking for? You can find more information about this field in Shopify's API docs.

@Calvin - I am seeing the same issue. In fact, on what I am working on, landing_site_ref is null constantly. I just want a field that contains the entire URL the person landed on, which is part of the shopify orders API. Not sure why it is not part of fivetran's data pulls.
"landing_site_ref" only pulls if it says "source=" ... but doesn't pull from "utm_source=" , so without having the entire landing_site url, we are potentially missing a lot of info.

Totally agree! I am a little surprised that you are passing the 'landing_site_base_url' instead of the 'landing_site' field since that is a slimmed-down version of the 'landing_site' field. Is there any update on when you can add that field?

Agreed. Please can you add a 'landing_site' field? It is very helpful for sales attribution purposes.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for your feature request regarding the 'landing_site' field in the Shopify Order table. This field has been deprecated, and its alternative, the 'customer_visit' field, is already supported by Fivetran and generally available.
You can refer to the Shopify documentation for more details on the 'customer_visit'.
For more information on our supported features, please check our ERD.
Best,
Sandeep
