Connector Improvement: Twilio - Add option to exclude sub accounts to prevent double counting
Requesting to add the ability to "not include subaccounts" for Twilio Usage Records (which is a feature flag on the underlying Twilio API).
Reason: When using Twilio subaccounts, usage/spend can occur at the primary account OR on the subaccounts as shown in figure A. When using "include subaccounts" (which is the default behavior), the records that come back are as in Figure B. This essentially results in double counting - if I simply add up the rows, it looks like the spend was $390 whereas it was really a total of $220. It requires a complex math to get it back to the real details.
Figure A: Actual Usage by Account
Main Account $50 spend
---> Subaccount #1 $70 spend
---> Subaccount #2 $100 spend
Figure B: Data that comes back from FiveTran
Main Account $220 spend
Subaccount #1 $70 spend
Subaccount #2 $100 spend

Hi Mark -
Thanks for submitting this feature request. If i'm understanding your question correctly, you can switch from the default option of "Sync All Accounts" to "Sync Specific Accounts" which will populate with a list of account ID's that you can choose from. If you know the main/parent account ID you can just select that ID from the populated list.

Please let me know if that is not what you are looking for!Best,
Erin
