Connector Improvement: Pinterest Sync Archived Items
CompletedRequesting feature to add the option to sync archived items.
FiveTran is not pulling in ARCHIVED status items.
- Status (ACTIVE, ALL, ARCHIVED, PAUSED) filter.
- ALL, the default, does not include ARCHIVED entities.
Items with a status of Archived were not synced due to concerns they would result in increased and unnecessary MAR charges for our customers. I would like the option to sync these items

Hi everyone, jumping in to let you all know that we've implemented this feature request. The following metadata entities will now sync 'Archived' items:
- Ads (PinPromotions)
- AdGroups
- Campaigns
- ProductGroupPromotions

Hi Rebecca Hartlage, Calvin from the Product team here!
Thanks for this request. To make sure I'm understanding correctly, can you elaborate a bit on your use case for these items and which tables you would like to see pulling in ARCHIVED status items?

Hi Calvin!
In our use case, we are wanting to pull in data from archived product groups and ads. We were looking at year over year reporting and noticed the prior years spend was not matching the Pinterest UI. Upon investigation, we found product groups with spend in 2021 had be archived and were not appearing in the FiveTran data.
Archived product groups can continue to serve impressions and clicks after being removed due to the nature of the platform, so I can see why some users would not want to pull in those metrics. But in our case, we had spend against those products groups. Having the option to pull in archived data would be great!

Thanks for the additional information, Rebecca Hartlage.
Due to the nature of Pinterest, it makes sense that archived product groups and ads still gather impressions and clicks. Like you mentioned, it's strange that the ALL status does not include ARCHIVED items. I'll add this request to the backlog so that we can investigate the improvement and work to prioritize it in the future.

I would also love this feature. We would like to have stats on older items that are now archived. I ran a historical resync of our pinterest data over the weekend, and was confused why so much older data seems to be missing from product_item_report.
It also seems like just 90 days of data gets synced historically for product_item_report compared to 909 days for other tables.
