Other: Send logs generated from connecting via the UI
AnsweredWe are planning on implementing some monitoring checks for when credentials in connectors are changed. Rather than change credentials and then attempt a sync, we would like to be able to run the save and test button and the results of those logs are returned in azure.
At the moment, Fivetran looks like it's only showing logs during a sync and not when you connect through the UI so we're not able to see error logs with badly configured connectors.

Hi Kyle Lehka - thanks for the request. I'd like to make sure that I understand exactly whats happening - are you saying that when you click save and test and there is an error in the setup test, the result of that manual test running doesn't appear in the logs that you're sending to Azure Log Analytics via our external logging service connector? It seems like running the setup tests manually might make this a time intensive process and it sounds like you're trying to automate making sure that the credentials are working. You've probably already thought of this but we do have an endpoint in our REST API that allows you to run the setup tests programmatically and shares the result of the tests. Would this help you to accomplish your goal of monitoring?

Hi Alexa,
Thanks for getting back to me. I didn't see that endpoint in the documentation. That seems to be perfect for what we're trying to do. Thank you 👍🏽
