Connector Improvement: request to add topic field in repository table under github schema

In GitHub schema, repository are labeled with "in-scope" or not, depending on whether or not they are part of our audit scope. This is done programmatically via a tool that adds the label to the "topic" field in GitHub.

We would like the "topic" field to be pulled into our database table from suource fivetran, so that we can refine our query to include whether or not the repos are in scope based on the topic.

So could you please add a topic field to the repository table, then we will sync to our tables.

    Hi Ravi - 

    Thanks for submitting this feature request! This definitely seems like a worthwhile addition to the GitHub Schema. Given that there can be many topics for 1 repository, we would most likely create this as a separate table in the schema with a topic and a FK to the repository. 

    We don't currently have this planned but i will add this to our backlog and will continue to update this feature request when it's added to a sprint.

    We have taken up this improvement in the current sprint. It was being requested in a similar feature request here as well.  

    I'll mark this as planned and share the release notes when it's ready.
