Daily "Records Synced" view in the Activations UI
Summary
A client used the Workspace Usage / Records Synced chart in Census to keep an eye on how many records they sync each day. Since the move to the new Fivetran Activations experience, that chart is gone, and they no longer have a way to see daily sync volumes in the UI.
Issue
- The previous Census interface showed an account-level chart of records synced per day.
- With the Activations UI update and the changes to workspaces, this reporting has been removed.
- They relied on it to check daily sync volumes at a glance. Without it, they would need to build their own reporting from the API to get the same view.
Steps taken
- We checked with the Fivetran team, who confirmed the workspace reporting has been removed and asked us to raise a feature request.
- Fivetran pointed to the current alternatives: the List Sync Runs API (records sent per run), sync alerts, and sync lifecycle webhooks. These help with per-sync alerts and custom reporting, but there is no built-in view of daily records synced across the account.
What is needed
- Could you bring back a view of daily records synced in the Activations UI, similar to the previous Workspace Usage / Records Synced chart?
- Could this also support alerts based on daily sync volume?
