Workday Financial Management: Add BANK_ACCOUNT master data table (account names)
Connector name: Workday Financial Management
Table name: BANK_ACCOUNT (reference ID and bank account name)
API documentation link: https://community.workday.com/sites/default/files/file-hosting/productionapi/Cash_Management/v47.0/Get_Bank_Accounts.html
(This is the Cash Management API’s Get_Bank_Accounts operation, which Art Tucker found in support ticket #419850. Fivetran support found no equivalent in the Financial Management API)
Additional details:
Related support ticket: #419850
Current behavior: Bank_Account_ID worktags sync into WORKTAG, but VALUE contains only internal reference IDs (e.g. BANK_ACCOUNT-6-40) and DESCRIPTOR is empty. No table in the schema maps these IDs to bank account names. The only bank-related tables are BANK_STATEMENT, BANK_STATEMENT_SUMMARY and BANK_STATEMENT_TRANSACTION. Fivetran support confirmed the connector does not surface bank account names in any lookup table.
Comparison: other entities (SUPPLIER, CUSTOMER, REVENUE_CATEGORY) have master tables with name columns.
Use case: finance users filtering transactions by bank account see opaque codes instead of the account names they use in Workday. The names exist in Workday but cannot be joined to worktag values today.
Request: add a BANK_ACCOUNT master table, sourced from the Cash Management API Get_Bank_Accounts operation or another method Fivetran prefers, so worktag reference IDs can be resolved to account names.
