Connector Improvement: Xero Connector
Use Case - We use FiveTran to connect to Xero and pull data from it to our DWH. Within Xero we have a number of "funds", each with its own reporting, P&L, Balance Sheet etc. Each fund is set up with 1 connector. The Australian Tax Office (ATO) mandates that the users in Xero must use MFA and so every 30 days we have to "reauthorize" the connection details using MFA and retest the connection etc. Our business has multiple funds and this is a very time consuming and tedious task.
Request - Could the connector be improved in a way that
1. For the connecting user it authorizes the connection the 1st time around and then also has some sort of token validation that no longer needs the MFA every 30 days?
2. If the user that was defined for this connection (typically a system account) is then removed from the fund, the connector can fail and notify that the user was not found.
I'm not sure what the solution would be and ideally once the connector is set up, we should not have to reauthorize the connection every 30 days with a new MFA code as this takes away from automation. If the user was logging into Xero it would be fine to do the MFA there, but for a connector, once this is set up, it should no longer need to be reauthorized every 30 days for each fund's connector.

Hi Clint - Thanks for submitting this feature request! I can really see how painful and teadious this task is for your team currently. I'm guessing her that option two would be a lot more work to implement than the first, however that is merely speculation.
I will reach out to engineering to discuss with them. At this time we don't have this planned but it is a worthwhile improvement.
Thanks,
Erin
