New Connector: Mongodb Read preference

On connection string we are not able to specify read preference on mongodb.
Ideally we would like to read against secondary rather than primary server.

we are on mongodb enterprise. we have 3 nodes(pss).

    Hi Praneeth,

    Thanks for your question here! For MongoDB, we do use the secondaryPreferred read preference, per MongoDB docs: https://www.mongodb.com/docs/manual/core/read-preference/

    I wonder since this is secondaryPreferred and not secondary, did our connector try to sync when no secondary nodes were available?

    For your use case, is secondaryPreferred not acceptable and we must always read from secondary? If no nodes are available and we don't have secondaryPreferred, your syncs may fail. Please share more information on what you are hoping to accomplish in this use case!
