Native Schema Access Change Detection and Alerting for Connectors
Hi Team,
We would like to submit a feature request for native schema access change detection and alerting within Fivetran.
Currently, when access to selected tables or fields is removed or modified in the source system, those objects may stop syncing after a schema refresh without a proactive notification. This requires customers to build custom monitoring and alerting solutions using logs or external platforms.
We would like Fivetran to provide an automatic detection and notification mechanism for scenarios such as:
- Loss of access to previously selected tables or fields
- Objects or fields becoming inaccessible due to source-side permission changes
- Tables or fields being removed from synchronization after a schema refresh
- Missing expected tables or columns
- Objects that stop receiving updates unexpectedly
Having native alerting for these schema access and synchronization changes would help customers proactively identify and address issues before they impact downstream reporting and data consumers.
Thank you for considering this enhancement. We believe this capability would provide significant value for organizations relying on Fivetran for critical data integrations.
Regards,
Sree Chandana Kasula
