Connector Improvement: Shopify Order History Table
AnsweredWith the current state of the Shopify API and Fivetran Connector it is not feasible to 100% accurately recreate the Shopify "Sales over Time" report.
This is because there is no historical records of the Orders table. You are only able to view the Order in aggregate. If you want to view the individual transactions that make up the order you may use the Transactions table, however the Transactions table does not provide details (eg. discount, taxes, shipping, etc.) that are needed to recreate this Shopify report.
In order to completely recreate that we would need an Order History table which shows each update to an order and the details within each order update event.

Hi Niamh,
Thanks for the detailed explanation of your request! Providing an Order History table is something we've been considering for some time and would like to make it available in the best way possible.
While we have no updates to share on this right now, it is something we'll be considering in the coming months. -
Hello Ray,
Are there any news regarding having a Order HIstory Table as a possibility? -
Also interested in this. I cannot accurately get current month sales and returns when adjustments are made to a prior date.

Hi Niamh,
Currently, the Order table is one of the most data-intensive, with many child and nested endpoints. At this time, we have not planned to implement this feature.
However, we encourage you and other users to upvote this request in our community. This helps us prioritize features based on user demand and feedback.
We value your input and will keep this suggestion in mind for future roadmap considerations. Thank you for being an active part of our community and helping us improve our products.
Best,
Sandeep
