Connector Improvement: Unselect specific tables in Google Play
PlannedSome tables are driving MARs up even though I don't need that specific information. Would be great and important to be able to unselect some tables, as it is possible with the App Store and Stripe connector.
Thank you

Hi Philip -
Thanks for submitting this feature request.
Are there specific tables you wish to have the ability to de-select? As of now, I will continue to research this feature and track demand for it.
Best,
Erin

Hi Erin,
Google Play Schema has many tables and we are not able to unselect these tables. This causes huge increase in bills specially due to unwanted tables which has huge volume of data. One more issue with this is it floods our destination server with unwanted data. It would be great if we can unselect these tables and keep only the ones which we need (We really don't want to pay and store some unused data). -
Please prioritize this feature.

Hi Erin,
maybe start with the de-select on the highest level. Like:
gsutil ls gs://pubsite_prod_rev_12345gs://pubsite_prod_rev_12345/acquisition/
gs://pubsite_prod_rev_12345/earnings/
gs://pubsite_prod_rev_12345/financial-stats/
gs://pubsite_prod_rev_12345/reviews/
gs://pubsite_prod_rev_12345/sales/
gs://pubsite_prod_rev_12345/stats/
gs://pubsite_prod_rev_12345/subscriptions/ -
This point is valid for all connectors
-
Not only that but also limit the connector to certain apps to further control MAR. The itunes connector has both these features

This would be very useful! We now have data from more than 45 tables which aren't relevant to us, increasing the amount of data in our warehouse and the amount of MAR. There are other ETL-tools where you can deselect the tables you don't need, so it seems to be a possible feature.

Hi all - we have decided to take this work up in the coming sprint. If you are interested in testing this feature out when it becomes available please let me know on this thread.
Thank you,
Erin
