As seen at https://fivetran.com/docs/getting-started/core-concepts#tableandcolumnnamingruleset , Fivetran performs several normalization processes for column and table names. Talking to support, we were told that it is possible to turn normalization off as a whole. We would ideally like to control individual features of the normalization. Specifically for our use case, we would like to maintain double underscores (allows us to copy queries from older systems) while making all of the other normalization changes.
