We would like to request an enhancement to the HVR Licensing UI to allow administrators to disable or hide the “Register with Fivetran Account” option for environments that use manually managed on-premises licensing.

Current Behaviour

In the HVR Licensing screen, users are presented with both:

• Register with Fivetran Account
• Add License Manually

Even when a valid manual HVR license is already installed, the Register with Fivetran Account option remains visible and available to users.

Customer Requirement

Our environment uses a manual/on-premises licensing model, and we do not want end users to have the ability to initiate Fivetran account registration from the HVR Hub.

We would therefore like an administrator-controlled option to disable or hide this functionality.

This would allow the HVR UI to reflect our approved licensing and operating model.

Business and Governance Considerations

In our environment, we have governance and security controls around how the HVR Hub is licensed and connected.

Allowing the registration option to remain available can:

• Create confusion for users about the approved licensing model.
• Allow users to initiate an account registration process that is not part of our operating model.
• Create concerns around unauthorized or accidental connectivity to Fivetran.
• Make the Licensing UI inconsistent with our internally approved configuration.

We would prefer that users only see the licensing options that are applicable to our environment.

Requested Enhancement

Please provide a supported configuration that allows an administrator to disable or hide “Register with Fivetran Account” from the HVR Licensing UI.

The implementation could be achieved through any suitable mechanism, for example:

1. A hub-level configuration option.
2. An administrator policy setting.
3. A role or permission-based restriction.
4. A configuration that enforces manual-license-only mode.

The specific implementation is flexible, provided that administrators can prevent end users from using the Fivetran account registration option.

Expected Behaviour

When the option is disabled:

• Register with Fivetran Account should either be hidden or disabled.
• Add License Manually should remain available.
• Existing manually installed licenses should continue to work without change.
• Users should not be able to initiate Fivetran account registration from the HVR Licensing UI.

If the option is displayed but disabled, an explanatory message such as the following would be helpful:

Registration with Fivetran Account is disabled by administrator policy.

Business Impact

This enhancement would help customers operating HVR in controlled, on-premises environments to enforce their approved licensing model and reduce the risk of unintended registration attempts.

It would also make the HVR Licensing UI clearer and more appropriate for customers that exclusively use manually managed HVR licenses.
