MarketoのACTIVITY_CLICK_LINKテーブルにおけるWEBPAGE_URL取得の実現について
AnsweredConnector name:Marketo
Table name:ACTIVITY_VISIT_WEBPAGE
Column to add:WEBPAGE_URL
API documentation link:https://developer.adobe.com/marketo-apis/
Additional details:
We are writing to request a feature enhancement regarding the Marketo connector, specifically concerning the retrieval of WEBPAGE_URL for the ACTIVITY_CLICK_LINK table.
Problem Description:
Our current Fivetran Marketo connector setup synchronizes ACTIVITY_CLICK_LINK and ACTIVITY_VISIT_WEBPAGE tables. While Marketo's native interface provides "Webpage URL" and "Web ID" for ACTIVITY_CLICK_LINK data, the Fivetran-synced ACTIVITY_CLICK_LINK table only contains WEBPAGE_ID and lacks the corresponding WEBPAGE_URL.
We understand that WEBPAGE_ID from ACTIVITY_CLICK_LINK would ideally be used to join with ACTIVITY_VISIT_WEBPAGE to retrieve the WEBPAGE_URL. However, the ACTIVITY_VISIT_WEBPAGE table, as synced by Fivetran, contains WEBPAGE_URL but lacks a WEBPAGE_ID column. This discrepancy prevents us from accurately joining these two tables to identify the WEBPAGE_URL associated with each link click activity.
We have confirmed with Fivetran support that there is currently no guaranteed method for joining these tables to obtain the WEBPAGE_URL, and that the absence of WEBPAGE_ID in ACTIVITY_VISIT_WEBPAGE is considered the current intended specification, not a bug.
Impact:
The inability to link ACTIVITY_CLICK_LINK to WEBPAGE_URL significantly hinders our ability to perform comprehensive analysis on user engagement and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns within Marketo. Without this crucial information, it is challenging to understand which specific pages users are clicking on, limiting our data-driven decision-making.
Requested Enhancement:
We kindly request the following improvements to the Marketo connector:
-
Include
WEBPAGE_IDin theACTIVITY_VISIT_WEBPAGEtable: This would enable a reliable join withACTIVITY_CLICK_LINKusingWEBPAGE_ID, allowing us to accurately retrieveWEBPAGE_URLfor link clicks. -
Alternatively, provide
WEBPAGE_URLdirectly in theACTIVITY_CLICK_LINKtable: If includingWEBPAGE_IDinACTIVITY_VISIT_WEBPAGEis not feasible, syncingWEBPAGE_URLdirectly into theACTIVITY_CLICK_LINKtable would resolve the issue.
Implementing this enhancement would greatly improve the utility of the Fivetran Marketo connector for our analytical needs.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
-

Hi Akinobu,
I'm Abdul from the Product team at Fivetran. Thank you for the detailed feature request.
I'm evaluating whether we can add WEBPAGE_ID to the ACTIVITY_VISIT_WEBPAGE table so it can be joined with ACTIVITY_CLICK_LINK. I'll post an update here once I know more. Upvotes on this request also help us with prioritization.
