Add cta_complete_payment and cta_complete_payment_value to TikTok Ads connector
AnsweredWe need the TikTok Ads connector to support two additional metrics:
-
cta_complete_payment— CTA Purchases (Website): count of purchase events attributed to clicks -
cta_complete_payment_value— associated revenue for click-attributed purchases
TikTok Support confirmed both metrics are available in their Reporting API v1.3:
-
Endpoint:
/v1.3/report/integrated/get/ -
report_type: BASIC
-
data_level: AUCTION_CAMPAIGN
-
Metrics:
["cta_complete_payment", "cta_complete_payment_value"]
Currently, the connector exposes cta_purchase which always returns 0 (confirmed by Fivetran Support in ticket 411878 — the API returns 0 for this field). TikTok confirmed cta_purchase is not the correct metric; cta_complete_payment is the one that matches "CTA Purchases (Website)" in Ads Manager.
Without these metrics, there is no way to report click-through purchase conversions separately from view-through, which is a critical reporting requirement for campaign optimization.

Hi Angela,
Thanks for the detailed write-up and for working with TikTok Support on this. I've filed an internal ticket so we can test and follow up with TikTok directly on the click-attributed website purchase metrics once we pick it up.
The connector already supports every cta_* metric that TikTok lists on its BASIC report supported metrics page. That page documents cta_purchase as in-app purchase events reported by a measurement partner, which fits what you saw: it returns 0 for website purchases. It doesn't list cta_complete_payment or cta_complete_payment_value, and the v1.3 changelog only mentions the view-attributed vta_complete_payment family for website purchases. Because the published documentation doesn't confirm these two metrics, I want to verify them before we build anything.
When we pick this up, we'll request access to your connection so we can test whether cta_complete_payment and cta_complete_payment_value are returned by /v1.3/report/integrated/get/ for report_type=BASIC. You'll receive an access request to approve, and nothing is shared until you do. We'll also follow up with TikTok for written confirmation of those two fields, and if they are confirmed, we'll look at adding both metrics to the connector's BASIC report metrics. I can't give a timeline for when we'll pick it up, but I'll update this request as we learn more.
If you have TikTok Support's written reply, or a sample API response that includes these fields, please send it over as well. Please redact any sensitive information first. That would help us confirm quickly.
Cheers,
Luke
