Add /fleet/vehicles/stats/feed to Samsara Lite Connector
AnsweredConnector name: samsara
Table name: vehicles_stats_feed
API documentation link: https://developers.samsara.com/reference/getvehiclestatsfeed
Additional details:
Hi Fivetran Product Team,
We are currently using the Fivetran Samsara Lite Connector and would like to request an enhancement/feature addition for a missing endpoint.
Request Details
-
Source Connector: Samsara (Lite Connector)
-
Requested API Endpoint:
GET /fleet/vehicles/stats/feed(Samsara API v2) -
Samsara API Documentation: https://developers.samsara.com/reference/getvehiclestatsfeed
Business Use Case & Need
We require continuous stream ingestion for real-time telemetry metrics (such as engine state, fuel levels, diagnostic trouble codes, ECU speed, and battery voltage).
Currently, the Lite connector does not capture the high-frequency vehicle stats feed, which limits our ability to build near-real-time fleet maintenance dashboards, fuel analytics, and vehicle health reporting in our data warehouse.
Technical Notes
-
Samsara’s
/fleet/vehicles/stats/feeduses cursor-based pagination (endCursor). -
The endpoint allows parameter filtering by
types(e.g.,gps,fuelPerc,engineStates,obdOdometerkm). -
Support for capturing and persisting the
endCursorfor incremental syncs will be required on Fivetran's side.
Could you please validate this request for the Samsara Lite connector pipeline or advise on the timeline to add this endpoint to the sync schema?

Official comment
Hi Manupriya,
Thank you for the detailed request to add the vehicle stats feed endpoint to the Samsara Lite connector. This is a valuable addition for real-time fleet telemetry, and we have added it to our active backlog for review. We have confirmed the endpoint supports cursor-based pagination, which aligns well with how our connectors handle incremental syncs. Could you tell us which specific telemetry types, such as fuel level or engine state, are most critical for your maintenance dashboards? We will keep you updated on this thread as we make progress.
Best,
Syead Mujtaba Imam Rizwi
