Hello,
We would like to request the addition of the audience_labels field to the custom_audience_history table in the Facebook Ads connector.
Use Case
We are currently building our audience reporting and performance model. In Meta Ads Manager, teams use Audience Labels to categorize, organize, and tag custom and lookalike audiences. Having these labels available directly in our data warehouse is essential for us to properly segment, filter, and analyze our audience-driven performance without relying on external manual mappings.
Technical Context & API Reference
According to Meta’s Marketing API documentation, this data is exposed natively via the Custom Audience endpoint:
-
API Field:
audience_labels -
Endpoint:
GET /{custom-audience-id}?fields=audience_labels
Currently, neither custom_audience_history nor any other table in the Fivetran Facebook Ads schema exposes these audience labels, forcing us to maintain workaround mapping tables outside of Fivetran.
Could the product team consider adding the audience_labels column to the custom_audience_history table in a future release of the Facebook Ads connector?
Thank you for your help and for considering this request!
Best regards,
Lucas

Hi Lucas,
Thanks for the detailed request. Getting audience_labels into your warehouse so you can filter and segment by them is a fair ask. Meta exposes that field on the Custom Audience endpoint, so the connector can pick it up.
The Facebook Ads connector already syncs custom_audience_history from that endpoint, but audience_labels isn't among the fields it requests today. I've filed an internal feature improvement ticket to add the labels as a new custom_audience_label table rather than a column on custom_audience_history. That follows the pattern the connector already uses for Ad Labels, with separate tables like campaign_label and ad_label. A separate table is also easier to filter and join on than an array column, which is what you're after.
I can't give you a release date, but the request is logged and will factor into prioritization. I'll follow up here when there's something to share.
Cheers,

Hi Lucas,
This was picked up, and the changes are under review now. I'll post another update when we've rolled this out.
