Add targeting_automation (Advantage+ Audience) to Facebook Ads AD_SET_HISTORY
Connector name: Facebook Ads
Table name: ad_set_history
Column to add: targeting_automation (JSON) OR targeting_automation.advantage_audience (BOOLEAN)
Additional details:
Feature Description: Please add support for the targeting_automation field (specifically targeting_automation.advantage_audience) in the AD_SET_HISTORY table for the Facebook Ads connector.
Use Case / Business Value: We need to track whether Meta's Advantage+ Audience (automatic targeting expansion) is enabled (1) or disabled (0) at the Ad Set level. Without this field, we cannot accurately analyze performance differences between manual targeting and Meta's automated targeting expansion in our data warehouse.

Hi Lucas,
Great name :)
Thanks for the detailed request!I've confirmed that Meta's Marketing API documents targeting_automation as a field of the ad set's targeting object, with advantage_audience as the boolean flag (1 = enabled, 0 = disabled) that controls Advantage+ Audience: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/marketing-api/audiences/reference/targeting-expansion/advantage-audience/. The Facebook Ads connector already requests the full targeting object on ad sets, but its internal field mapping doesn't yet include this specific subfield, which is why it isn't currently exposed in ad_set_history.
I've filed an internal feature improvement ticket to add this field to the connector's mapping. While I can't provide a specific timeline, your request has been logged and will be considered in the prioritization process.
I'll follow up on this thread when I have an update. Thanks for helping improve the Facebook Ads connector!
Cheers,
Luke
