Sensitivity handling of Excel files
AnsweredWhich connector?:
Sharepoint
Additional details:
Currently, Magic Folder does not recognize/pull files that have their Sensitivity set to Confidential nor Highly Confidential.
I don't see any documentation about this, nor anyway around this issue aside from changing the Sensitivity of the Excel document.
Adding documentation and at least being able to see the file is recognized, but NOT pulled down would assist users in troubleshooting.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for flagging this. We’re investigating how Magic Folder handles SharePoint files with Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels.
Can you confirm whether the Confidential/Highly Confidential label applied to the affected Excel files includes encryption? This distinction matters because sensitivity labels can be metadata-only, in which case the workbook should remain readable, or they can encrypt the file and restrict access to its contents. We’re also reviewing how we can make files that are discovered but cannot be imported more visible for troubleshooting.
Best,

I can confirm the label applied to the file included encryption.
