Add new Freshdesk connector table for Ticket Summary
AnsweredConnector name: Freshdesk
Table name: TICKET_SUMMARY
API documentation link: https://developers.freshdesk.com/api/#ticket_summary
Additional details:
We sync the Freshdesk connector's TICKET_HISTORY table today. We'd like the connector to also ingest the Ticket Summary field, which Freshdesk exposes via its API (https://developers.freshdesk.com/api/#ticket_summary). Fivetran support confirmed (ticket reviewed 7/21/26) that this field is not currently available in TICKET_HISTORY or any other Freshdesk connector table, and isn't on the connector changelog.
Use case:
Ticket Summary gives us a concise, AI-generated recap of each ticket's content. We want it alongside our existing ticket history data in the warehouse so we can use it in downstream reporting and analytics without having to build and maintain a separate custom API connector just for this one field.
Requested behavior:
Add Ticket Summary as a synced column in TICKET_HISTORY (or a suitable existing Freshdesk table), so it's available in the same destination tables we already use.
Impact if not addressed:
We'd need to build and maintain a custom connector or supplemental API pull just to backfill this one field, adding engineering overhead for something the standard connector could otherwise support.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for raising this! Ticket Summary is a handy field to have next to your ticket history, and honestly it's a nice one to add so we're planning to pick it up in the near term.
One thing before we do: you mentioned you'd use it for reporting and analytics. Mind sharing a bit more on what you're actually trying to do with it? Won't change our plans to add it, just helps us build it the right way.
Best,
Vicky
