HVR should message if any table is setup in HVR for cdc and cdc flag is off at DB
AnsweredThere is a common use case seen where for some reason a table is renamed / dropped in Database which lead to cdc flag turned off,
It will be good, if HVR flag this as Warning that there is a Table in HVR active replication and there is no CDC flag is ON at DB side. As HVR already have access to all end points can check and flag.
Side effect of this is this we never knows that replication is broken due to any changes done at DB side ,

Hi Tushar,
Thank for the Feature Request. We understand the importance to keep CDC on the tables. Which source system are you indicating. You probably realized you could solve this in the source ... outside of HVR. We will investigate how much it would take to also do this in HVR.
Best regards,
Edwin

Hi Edwin
This is for all our used cases, Sybase, DB2, SQL Server , Postrgres.
We have noticed the tables are dropped and recreated which lost the CDC flag, but those are part of HVR replication. As CDC flag is lost data is not replicating .
This can not be handled easily outside HVR (not ruling out but need lot of checks Need to find out which hub its connect, which channel / location then its replicate to that specific channel etc,,,)
But HVR knows that I am replicating these set of tables and its set / not set for CDC due to any reason.
Thanks
Tushar
