Additional details: 

We'd like to have a historical worker allowance plan that lets us track and manage employee allowances over time. This will help us track employee allowance changes throughout their employment by allowance_plan_code, so that we can keep an accurate history. It would help us provide a clear historical record of allowance changes without overwriting previous data.

Allowance plan is considered part of employee’s overall compensation and just like worker salary history, it should be available for evaluation on over time basis.  We use that information for compliance and equity evaluation.

    The request for a historical worker allowance plan in the Workday_HCM connector is noted. This would enable tracking employee allowance changes over time by allowance_plan_code, ensuring a clear historical record for compliance and equity evaluation purposes. The idea is valuable and has been added to our feature improvements backlog.



    To help prioritize this request, could you share more about your current process for tracking allowance changes? Are there specific reporting or compliance challenges you are aiming to solve with this enhancement? Any examples or additional context would be helpful.

    Allowance plans are considered a core component of employee's overall compensation package. Similar to salary history, changes to an employee's allowance plan should be tracked and retained over time so that historical information is available for review and analysis.

    Maintaining an allowance plan history enables the organization to evaluate how an employee's total compensation has evolved throughout their employment, rather than only viewing the current state. This historical visibility is important for several business purposes, including internal audits, regulatory compliance, compensation reviews etc. Maintaining historical allowance information allows HR and compensation teams to identify trends, compare compensation across employees and groups over time, and ensure that allowance-related decisions are applied consistently and fairly. Having allowance history available alongside salary history provides a more complete picture of an employee's compensation and supports informed decision-making, reporting, and compliance requirements.
