Snowflake using Workload identity federation

Snowflake has made Workload Identity Federation avaialble as an authentication mechanism: Workload identity federation | Snowflake Documentation .

Its usage improves security posture and eliminates storing keys on the file system as well as the need to rotate static keys. We are interested in having this feature in HVR in particular, so raising this request.

    Hi Jose,

    Thank you for raising this request. We understand the security benefits of Snowflake Workload Identity Federation, especially the elimination of static key storage and the reduction of key-rotation overhead.

    We have created a feature improvement request for this capability and are currently reviewing whether it can be planned for HVR.

    We will track this as a product enhancement and share updates as we have more details on timing and availability.
