GitHub Connector – User Role Information
CompletedWhich connector? github
Additional details:
Hi Fivetran Support,
We're using the GitHub connector and noticed that the TEAM_MEMBERSHIP table contains only the following columns:
USER_IDTEAM_ID
According to the GitHub API, team memberships include a role field (e.g. member or maintainer).
Could you please clarify:
- Is the
rolefield currently supported by the GitHub connector? - If so, which table and column should contain this information?
- If not, is there a configuration, permission, or connector version that enables syncing team member roles?
- Are organization-level membership roles (e.g.
admin/member) available anywhere in the connector schema?
More generally, our goal is to identify the role associated with each GitHub user in the organization. We would appreciate your guidance on the recommended way to retrieve this information through the GitHub connector, including any relevant tables, fields, permissions, or alternative approaches.
For reference, the GitHub token used by the connector has:
- Organization Members: Read
- Organization Hooks: Read & Write
- Repository Code, Issues, Metadata, and Pull Requests: Read
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
Raz
