we have enabled Fivetran alerts and set an activity period. One of the alert name - alert_grp_cps_dbx, it has activity period from Sunday 10AM EST - Sat 10PM EST. We have Guardian maintenance from Sat 10PM EST - Sun 10AM EST. That is the reason, we nullified alert during this window. When the alert start running from Sunday 10AM EST, it started triggered alerts/issues related to non activity period as well which is creating unnecessary incidents for out team which we know the reason due to maintenance.

Your current setup is to no send out any alerts from 10 PM on Saturday until 10 AM on sunday where you have a maintainance activity. As of now, it doesn't send out alerts during that window but as soon the window is complete, it scans for errors in hvr.out log and sends those as alerts which you want to avoid. That is the current product behaviour as it is designed to scan through the logs and send errors as it sees any.
 
I will check with my escalation/engineering team for any alternative approches for it and if not, it would be a product enhancement request.
