Additional details:
Databricks has VARIANT type suitable for storing JSON values. It will be easier to work with JSON data if they are stored as VARIANT. We’ve added support for the
VARIANTdata type, currently available in preview by request. It will be enabled for all users once Databricks moves the feature to General Availability (GA).Best,
