Test without saving for connection

Which connector?: here SAP ERP on HANA, but regardless the source really.

Additional details:

As i am switching back and forth with testing few connection parameters options (single app server vs. message server with sap router), I would like to have an option to test without saving, so I do not have to retype every configuration item every time if my intention is only to test sth out.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the feedback. This is a valid pain point when iterating through different connection parameter combinations.

    Currently, the connector setup requires the configuration to be saved before it can be tested. I understand this makes it harder to compare different configurations while keeping a known working setup available.

    A “test without saving” option would be useful to consider. To set expectations, this would likely need to be implemented at the Fivetran platform level rather than at the connector level, which makes it a more impactful change.

    I will log this as a product improvement request on our side.
