    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the detailed write-up on the SubmitForm / Form submissions (website) metric.

These metrics are actually already syncable through the TikTok Ads connector today, via Custom Reports. You can build a custom report at the ad, ad group, or campaign level and include the Submit Form metrics: form, cost_per_form, form_rate, value_per_form, and total_form_value. Those are TikTok's API names for the "Form submissions (website)" / SubmitForm event you're seeing in Ads Manager.

    Setup steps are here: https://fivetran.com/docs/connectors/applications/tiktok-ads/custom-reports

    A couple of notes:

    • To reconcile against the "Form submissions (website)" column in Ads Manager, the metric you want is form (plus total_form_value if you also need value).
    • The onsite_form* family is a different thing; it tracks on-TikTok lead-gen forms, not website submissions, so I'd avoid mixing them.
    • These only return data if SubmitForm is firing from your TikTok Pixel or Events API setup.

One question before I take this further: does the Custom Report path work for you, or is there something about your workflow that needs these specifically in the prebuilt ad_report_* / adgroup_report_* / campaign_report_* tables? That'll tell me whether there's a real gap to close here.

    Thanks,
    Luke

    Hi Lucas,

I tried using a custom report with the form metric, but it didn’t match the “Form submissions (website)” numbers in the TikTok dashboard. I submitted this feature request because support confirmed that a metric reconciling to “Form submissions (website)” isn’t currently available due to a connector limitation.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the info. I reviewed your previous conversation with our support team. I also reached out to our TikTok partner manager about this.

TikTok confirmed that form should be the right field for Form submissions (website). They also called out that the API defaults to status_not_delete for ad/ad group/campaign reporting, which would filter for active entities. However, our connector uses status_all during rollback syncs to capture status for deleted entities.

Based on their response, a custom report with the form metric and the ad_id dimensions should provide the data you're looking for. TikTok recommended we open a ticket with them to log the issue and investigate further. I'm going to open another support ticket on your behalf from this thread. Fivetran's support team can request access to your connection again, grab the necessary details, and file a ticket with TikTok on your behalf.

They'll keep you updated on the new Fivetran support ticket.

    Thanks,
    Luke
