Support Windows Authentication for Minimal-Permission SQL Server Users

We would like to request support for Windows Authentication for minimal-permission users in SQL Server connections. Currently, Windows Authentication is only supported for admin credentials, while standard connections require SQL Server authentication, which limits our ability to follow the principle of least privilege. Our organization prefers using restricted users for integrations to align with security and compliance policies, and relying on high-privilege accounts introduces unnecessary risk. Enabling this feature would improve security, simplify credential management, and make it easier to adopt the solution in enterprise environments.

    Thanks for sharing this. We understand the need here. Supporting Windows Authentication is an important requirement, especially for teams seeking to adhere to least-privilege principles and stricter security policies.

    This is something we’re actively working on, and it’s currently on our roadmap with an estimated completion by the end of July. While timelines can evolve as we get closer, this is a priority area for us given the security and compliance implications you’ve highlighted.
