Add Notifications for Full Refresh (Full Load) Job Start and Completion in Fivetran HVR
AnsweredCurrently, Fivetran HVR notifications do not provide alerts for Full Refresh / Full Load jobs when they start or complete successfully. Notifications are mainly available for failures, warnings, or channel‑level issues, but there is no visibility into the lifecycle of refresh jobs from a monitoring or operational standpoint.
This creates a significant gap for teams running large refreshes, controlled re‑baselines, or planned maintenance refreshes, especially in production environments.
Current Behavior
- No notification is generated when:
- A Full Refresh / Full Load job starts
- A Full Refresh / Full Load job completes successfully
- Operations teams must:
- Manually monitor HVR UI
- Poll HVR logs
- Rely on indirect downstream signals (data arrival, row counts)
-
Expected / Requested Behavior
Provide configurable notifications for Full Refresh jobs with the following events:
- ✅ Full Refresh Job Started
- ✅ Full Refresh Job Completed Successfully
Notifications should be available via existing HVR notification mechanisms (email / webhook / integration targets), consistent with other HVR alerts.
Business Impact
- Improves operational visibility for long‑running refresh jobs
- Enables change management and auditability
- Reduces manual monitoring and human error

Hi Naresh,
Thank you for sharing this request. We will review it and investigate whether we can improve the current handling of refresh notifications. We will share an update once we have more clarity.
Best regards,
Edwin
