Connector Improvement: Jira Connector: support full sync of all active Jira users in the Fivetran connector
AnsweredCurrently, the Fivetran Jira connector only replicates users who meet at least one of the following conditions:
-
The user is a project lead
-
The user has reported an issue
-
The user has created an issue
-
An issue has been assigned to the user
As a result, Jira users who are active but only log time via plugins like Tempo do not appear in the USER table. This creates a gap when consolidating time-tracking data and forces teams to implement custom workarounds.
We would greatly benefit from an enhancement that allows the connector to replicate all active Jira users, regardless of issue or project ownership. This would ensure full coverage of user data and improve integration with time-tracking tools.
Thank you for considering this feature request.

Hi Alessandra,
Thank you for submitting this suggestion regarding the Jira connector’s support for syncing all active Jira users. We've tested different endpoints for users and customers had sync issues when we supported syncing all users which is why we don't support syncing all users. To better help with your request: is there a specific table where these users that are using the plugin are tracked if they are not tied to issues? We could investigate different approaches to adding them to our sync strategy.
Thanks,
Frank
