Connector Improvement: Expanded Standard Metrics Connector Tables
AnsweredSubject: Feature Request - Expanded Standard Metrics Connector Tables
Connector: Standard Metrics
Hey team - we're active users of the Standard Metrics connector and it's been great for pulling in company profiles and financial metrics. That said, the connector currently only covers a fraction of what the Standard Metrics API makes available, and we're having to build separate integrations to get at the rest.
Right now the connector syncs 7 tables: company, metrics, metrics_option, custom_column_option, custom_column_option_option, custom_column_select, and users. What's missing is basically the entire cap table and investment side of the platform, which for a portfolio management use case is the other half of the picture.
What we'd love to see added
Cap table & fund data (biggest gap for us):
1. Financing Events
2. Securities
3. Share Classes
4. Transactions
5. Funds
Nice to have:
6. Budgets
7. Notes
8. Documents (metadata)
9. Information Requests & Reports
The cap table and fund data is really the big one for us. Right now we're pulling that through the API separately, which kind of defeats the purpose of having the Fivetran connector in the first place. Would be great to have it all flowing through the same pipeline.
Happy to chat more about our use case if that's helpful. Thanks!

Hi Adam,
Thank you for submitting your feature request for the Standard Metrics connector.
We will be starting our analysis to evaluate the feasibility of building and maintaining a high-quality Fivetran connector. As we move forward, we may reach out with additional questions or clarifications to ensure the connector aligns with your requirements and expectations.
In the meantime, could you briefly share your primary use case for this feature?
We appreciate your feedback and continued support - it plays a key role in shaping our roadmap.
Best regards,

Hi Sahu,
Thanks for picking this up. Here's our use case:
We're a venture firm using Standard Metrics to track portfolio company metrics and cap table data. We also use Fivetran to sync SM data into our PostgreSQL warehouse, where it feeds our internal portfolio management platform.
The current SM connector syncs companies, metrics, budgets, notes, users, and custom columns - but the cap table module is missing entirely. We need access to:
- Financing events
- Transactions
- Share classes
- Securities
- FundsThis data is available via the SM API (`/api/v1/financing-events/`, `/api/v1/transactions/`, `/api/v1/share-classes/`, `/api/v1/securities/`, `/api/v1/funds/`) and visible in the SM UI under the Events, Transactions, and Overrides tabs - it's just not included in the Fivetran connector.
Having this in our warehouse would let us build portfolio valuation reports, track investment positions across funds, and cross-reference cap table data with the financial metrics we already sync.
Best,
Adam
