Connector Improvement: jira
AnsweredI would like to request a more complete sync of the users in jira connector, which is not limited by this:
Why Are Users Missing From the `USER` Table?
This is a big gap in my opinion, especially when consolidating with timesheet data from tempo where you have users that are loggging hours but aren't matched with the jira user data coming from the fivetran connector because they haven't created or weren't assigned to an issue.
We have had to build something ourselves instead of using the jira-users connector for this piece so would we wonderful if this got resolved.

Hi Nathan,
Thank you for sharing your suggestion regarding a more complete sync of users in the Jira connector. Can you help me understand which table you are seeing users that is not linked to a user in the user table?
Understanding your workflow and any related data challenges will help us assess potential enhancements to the connector.
Thanks,

Hi,
We are facing the same issue: users who log time via Tempo are active in Jira but do not appear in the USER table because they haven’t created or been assigned to any issues.
To summarize the issue: currently, the connector only replicates users who are project leads, reporters, issue creators, or assignees. Users who are active in Jira but only log time via Tempo do not appear in the USER table. This creates a gap when consolidating time-tracking data and requires building custom workarounds.
We have encountered the same problem and would greatly benefit from a connector enhancement that includes all active Jira users, regardless of issue or project ownership.
