Destination Improvement: To UPPERCASE, or not to uppercase, that is the question.
AnsweredSome people like their table and column names calm and civilized. Others want EVERYTHING TO LOOK LIKE IT’S YELLING FROM ACROSS THE ROOM.
Which brings me to the feature request, could we please have an option to force UPPERCASE_SNAKE when writing to Snowflake?
- UPPERCASE: because sometimes you simply must scream your variables into existence.
- SNAKE: because spaces are weak and only underscores can hold the line.
This would help those of us who prefer our naming conventions loud, proud, and shaped like a python. Thanks for considering this extremely serious and not-at-all dramatic request.

Hi Jason,
Understood — having the ability to enforce
UPPERCASE_SNAKEnaming conventions in Snowflake can be important for maintaining consistency across your data environment. While this isn’t supported today, we’re building a new renaming option that will give you the flexibility to tailor names to your specific use case. We’ll keep you posted here as this progresses. Let me know if this addresses your needs in the meantime.
Thanks,
Egidio
