    Hi Marco,

Your request for implementing REST APIs to support Absence Management for the Workday HCM connector is noted. This capability is valuable in enabling organizations to access time off data, such as annual leave, which is a frequent need compared to leave of absence.

I have added this request to our feature improvements backlog. To help us better scope the work, could you share more details about the problem you are trying to solve and how you plan to utilize this data?

Updates on any progress will be provided to the community in this thread.

    Thanks,
    Frank

    Hi Frank,

Thank you for the response. Our organization needs annual leave data of its employees in databricks for various kinds of analyses. The Workday REST API documentation I linked refers to this as "time off" instead of annual leave.

One example I was made aware of is this: as part of our employee success plans, managers need to have regular reviews with their direct line of reports. However if this process hasn't been upheld for a given quarter it could be due to a combination of different types of leaves between the individual and / or the manager. There are other reporting streams which similarly tie in to the ability to track absence and availability of employees, working out expectations and delivery timelines of certain teams and so on.

Currently we are only able to ingest the long absence periods through the Workday HCM connector (e.g. Paternity / Maternity leave, long term sickness leave, etc) and it's not returning the time off entries' requests and approvals as well as short term sicknesses.

    Cheers,

    Marco
