Connector Improvement: Google Ads v22 segments

The current implementation of the Google Ads connector is missing several dimensions required for custom reporting, for example segment.search_term_targeting_status.
These dimensions are available via the Google Ads API, so their absence limits the completeness and usefulness of custom reports. Given that this connector is intended to provide full access to first-party capabilities, having support for all available dimensions is important for accurate and consistent reporting.
We’d appreciate this being considered for inclusion in a future update.

Hi Anna,
Thanks for flagging this. Our Google Ads connector dynamically returns the list of available metrics and segments. The connector is using version 22 of the API. I'm not sure why this segment wouldn't be available. I will check with our engineering team.

This segment is available for a custom report when you choose campaign_search_term_view as the report type.
The API docs are confusing. This segment is listed on the ad_group_ad and ad_group. But if you set "Is ad_group specified in the FROM clause of your query?" to "Yes", you'll see the segment is not available. When you select ad_group_ad or ad_group as the report name in our connector, we include that resource in the from clause. Therefore, the segment isn't available for ad_group_ad or ad_group reports, only campaign_search_term_view.

Hey Lucas - thanks for checking in!
I am working off the campaign_search_term_view and still can't get this field. I have a support ticket created - maybe it will be the best place to discuss this particular issue on a live connection example.

UPD found the issue - i was checking in the existing report; creating new one allows me to select this field actually
