Connector Improvement: MongoDB Connector support for Federated Database

Currently the mongodb connector only support connections to MongoDB Replica Sets and Sharded Clusters, but not to the MongoDB Serverless Database or Federated Database services. Does fivetran have anything in the road map for 2026 that will support connections to the MongoDB Federated Database.

    Hi Deepu,

    Thanks for sharing your request. Can you please describe your use case in more detail? My understanding is that Mongo Data Federation is a way to execute queries over multiple sources including Mongo Atlas. Is this what you're referring to? What is the exact dataset that you would like to replicate using Fivetran?
