Connector Improvement: Ability to sync Mixpanel Events API separately from JQL API
AnsweredJQL API is being deprecated and available only to specific plans. Events API is available for all accounts. Right now there is a hard check on Fivetran side to enable billing before setting up the full connector. Billing is not required for Events API and if user needs only events data for free account this is impossible to do at the moment due to billing check at the start of connection flow setup.

Hi Anna,
Thank you for the suggestion. This is something we're actively evaluating with our product and engineering teams, but we don’t have a delivery date yet. At the moment, the Mixpanel connector can only be fully configured when billing is enabled on the project.
To help us assess the need and prioritize future updates, could you share a bit more about your use case?
- Do you only need raw event tables, or do you also need People/Profile data?
- Approximately how many events per day or what retention window are you targeting?
- What if any workaround are you using today ?
Thanks,Abdul

Hi Abdul,
Thank you for your reply. Our use-case is client related. Our team is a marketing agency and we have clients with free Mixpanel accounts. For those clients we need only Events export, however, this is case-by-case basis and depends on a client need. Right know we're using custom connector since we can't connect 'free' clients via Fivetran standard connector due to billing validation. Regarding volume, this is something that depends on a particular account. Right now we have ~2-20K daily on average. But again, amount heavily depends on particular client we have.
Hope this explanation answers your questions. Thanks!
