Connector Improvement: YouTube Analytics - Content Owner Basic A_3 naming
AnsweredFor the YouTube Analytics connector, the content_owner_basic_a_3 schema no longer reflects the actual data being delivered. YouTube has fully transitioned to the content_owner_basic_a_4 format, and according to the documentation, the data exposed through the a_3 schema is actually sourced from the a_4 table.
Would it be possible to update the schema name to content_owner_basic_a_4, or remove the a_# suffix entirely? Since the connector always surfaces the latest YouTube dataset, a simplified name like content_owner_basic would make things much clearer and avoid confusion going forward.
Thanks!

Hi Michael,
Thanks for raising this feature request!
I understand how our current table names could be confusing. I've had a similar thought to rename the existing tables to something generic, but I haven't prioritized this because it will be a breaking change for all customers. Everyone will need to migrate their downstream queries referencing the new table names. I wasn't sure whether this cost was worth the benefit of a "less confusing" schema. Your input on this is very helpful.I'll add this to the backlog, and we'll prioritize it based on demand. If we make this change, we'll make sure to give a warning to existing users to give everyone time to migrate to the new name.
Cheers,
Luke
