Connector Improvement: UKG Workforce Management - Hyperfind Improvement - Include All Employees not just Active.
AnsweredThe UKG WFM connector currently uses UKG Hyperfind ID 1 "All Home" which only consists of Active Employees, excluding any Terminated Employees. This leads to incomplete timesheet data being retrieved from the API. This makes the connector unusable for us as we are a highly transient workforce (seasonal Ski Resort) we onboard and offboard 2000+ employees every season. By only returning active employees, we cannot sync historical UKG timesheet data leaving incomplete information int the DataWarehouse. This affects us in multiple ways, most importantly we cannot use prior data for workhours to project into future budgets.
This problem would also affect any NEW connector and prevent retrieval of historical data due to Terminated Employee records.
It also presents as a problem when performing a manual resync of existing data from the connector as any records not returned (belonging to terminated employees) gets marked as Fivetran_Deleted in the destination, this has now effectively corrupted our prior data.
Feature Requested is to include ALL EMPLOYEES regardless of current employment status. This could be done two ways.
- Change the Hyperfind ID for the connector to -9 “ALL PEOPLE” which includes all employees in UKG.
- Preferred option – Include a User Configurable Parameter for the Hyperfind ID in the connection. This can still be defaulted to 1 to prevent issues with existing connections, the inclusion of this Parameter would allow the end user to select what they want to sync. In our case we would select -9 “ALL PEOPLE” which is one of many pre-delivered Hyperfind IDs from UKG and is a standardised ID across all instaces of UKG. But would also allow users to select any personally created Hyperfind IDs if they wanted to customise the data for their own purposes.

Thank you for raising this and explaining the requirement so clearly for UKG Pro Workforce Management. We appreciate the detail you’ve shared- it really helps us understand your use case and where the connector can better support you.I completely understand the importance of including terminated employees, especially with a highly seasonal workforce. Syncing only active employees creates gaps in timesheet data, which impacts reporting, budgeting, and long-term planning. We also recognise that including all employees would add more value to customers and make the data complete without friction.
We’ve added this request to our Q4 backlog and will prioritise it for engineering review this quarter. As part of that, we’ll look at feasibility and determine the best approach - whether that’s adding a configurable Hyperfind ID in the setup form or enabling access to all employees, to simplify the experience and ensure complete data without extra configuration.
While I can’t guarantee an immediate release but this will be prioritised in our current quarter, with a focus on customer needs and a smooth, reliable data experience.
