Connector Improvement: Shopify: [Urgent] Allow for updating existing connection with custom app key via UI or API
AnsweredGiven the recent news about the removal of the Shopify app, it's unrealistic to expect we can have public apps created, reviewed, and approved before the deadline. We urgently need an option for updating existing connections to use a custom app key. Requiring the recreation of connectors adds tremendous overhead and time to the process and is very costly to Fivetran since we'll need to resync all historical data which you won't be paid for.
We've had past Shopify connections take multiple days or even a week+ to sync historical data, which means we won't be able to actually use this data for a long time during the absolute prime time for e-commerce. Please do everything you can to make this process as painless for your customers and reprioritize around this.
Note: If this is already possible to do, the documentation is unclear in that regard and the UI certainly doesn't appear to support it. But that would be great news, just need some direction.
