1. Business Use Case for This Report

This report is crucial for proactive inventory management and financial risk mitigation within our Amazon operations. Our current Fivetran extracts do not provide the necessary health metrics, forcing us to rely on manual downloads and updates, which introduces significant risk and delay.

• Primary Goal: To build an automated inventory planning dashboard (in BigQuery/Looker Studio) that allows us to proactively manage our Reorder Points (ROP) and Days of Inventory (DOI).

• Risk Mitigation: The data is essential for preventing costly Out-of-Stock (OOS) situations and calculating future aged inventory fees or low inventory fees in advance.

• Automated Decision-Making: This report is the core source for creating operational alerts required by our Operations and Finance teams.

• Deadline: We urgently require this connector prior to Q1 2026 (our peak season ramp-up).

• Impact: Without this automated data, our inventory planning for the volatile Q1 period will be based on inaccurate, delayed information, significantly increasing our risk of both stockouts and excess inventory fees.
