Connector Improvement: Add transcripts and summaries functionality for Zoom Connector
AnsweredHi Fivetran!
As enterprises increasingly move to recording transcripts of video calls, they use Zoom's builtin transcription and summary functionality more ubiquitously. Please update the Zoom connector to pull transcripts and summaries; these APIs are readily available using identical semantics to those of the Webinar, Events, and User objects that you're already pulling; the incremental lift should be minimal. As a reference, here's the API spec for the Transcript endpoint:
Thanks!

Hi Aron,
Thanks for submitting this feature request for Zoom Connector.
Based on our review of Zoom’s API and documentation for transcript downloads, it appears that the transcripts are provided in VTT format (as mentioned here: Zoom Transcript Download).
Could you please share how you currently use this file format? Do you parse the transcript or generate summaries from it? Also, how would you like this data to be loaded in your destination? Since VTT is not as straightforward to parse as JSON, your input will help us assess the feasibility of supporting it.
Thank You,
Vishal

Hi! VTT is basically a structured text format, so it's ok to dump that as is. There's also a separate Summary endpoint and set of other materials (recording download link, etc). Can you prioritize a very quick (likely easy to vibecode) extension so that transcripts and summaries are pulled down for each meeting? This is such an important use-case for almost anyone using Zoom for meeting analytics.
